New car sales in New Caledonia, a French overseas territory located North-East of Australia, are down 5% year-on-year in January to 853 registrations, and the models ranking is surprisingly stable for such a small market: the entire January Top 5 is identical to the FY2013 ranking: we have the Ford Ranger in pole position at 9.1% market share, ahead of the Toyota Hilux, Dacia Duster, Nissan Navara and Ford Fiesta. Great performers this month include the Citroen C3 up to #10 vs. #22 in 2013, the Peugeot 207 up to #13 vs. #33, Peugeot 208 at #16 vs. #30, Renault Captur above the Clio at #17 vs. #19, the Hyundai Santa Fe at #18 vs. #35 over FY 2013 and the Kia Picanto at #20 vs. #42.
