After New Caledonia, thanks to Sonico now we have access to another overseas French territory: the Réunion Island, home of 800,000 inhabitants and located East of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. The new car market on the Island fares a little better than in metropolitan France: at 1,697 registrations in January split between 1,350 Passenger Cars and 347 Light Commercial Vehicles , it is down 8% year-on-year vs. -16% in France overall.
