Still very weak figures for new car sales in Croatia in March but not as catastrophic as the last two months: the market is down 36% year-on-year to 2,436 registrations, which brings the year-to-date total to 6,037 units, down 46% on 2012. Boosted by the 7th generation and potentially a significant rental delivery, the VW Golf is sovereign in Croatia this month with 166 sales and 6.8%, which also enables it to lead the way in the year-to-date ranking at 328 units and 5.4%.
The Opel Astra is kicked down to #2 in both ranking even though it improves its share to 5.3% this month thanks to 130 sales. Very impressive jump of the Opel Insignia: up 17 spots to land on the third step of the podium at 129 units and 5.3%, it is now #4 year-to-date. It is extremely rare to see the Insignia at such heights in any country so enjoy it while it lasts! Notice also the Hyundai ix35 up 8 ranks to #6, the Kia Sportage solid at #8 and the Dacia Sandero at #13.
