Difficult year for Light Commercial Vehicles sales in France: the market is down 10% on 2011 to 384,121 registrations, albeit a more modest drop than the Passenger Car market (-14%). Unreachable in pole position, the Renault Kangoo celebrates 15 consecutive year atop the French LCV ranking and with sales down just 2% year-on-year it even sees its market share grow to 9.7% thanks to 37,097 units. The Renault Clio is #2 again with 25,775 sales and 6.7% (-14%) while the Fiat Ducato is up 2 spots to jump onto the podium at #3 with 22,809 units and 5.9% (-4%).
Absolutely all models in the Top 10 lose ground compared to 2011, with the Renault Master (-9%), Ford Transit (-9%) and Mercedes Sprinter (-7%) the least affected. In fact, if we discard the Peugeot 208, by far the best performing all-new model in the ranking landing directly at #15 with 8,668 sales, only one model in the entire Top 30 actually sees its sales increase: the VW Caddy up 3% to #30 and 2,951 units. The other gainers within the Top 50 are the Toyota Hilux at +7% (#31), Nissan NV200 at +15% (#39), Iveco 35S13 at +13% (#42), VW Polo at +13% (#43) and Opel Combo at +42% (#47).
Notice also the Nissan NV400 all-new for 2012 at #57, the Toyota Yaris up 81% to #58, the Mercedes Citan landing at #74 and the Ford Transit Custom arriving at #82, both thanks to strong December sales.
