Another outstanding month for new car sales in Saudi Arabia, up a huge 42% year-on-year in November to 63,094 registrations and bringing the year-to-date total to 634,634 units, up 17% on 2011 and already way above of the Full Year 2011 tally which was 594,299. In the models ranking, October highlights included the 2nd place of the Hyundai Accent at an excellent 6.9% share and Kia placing the Cerato at #9 and the Rio at #14. In November, Toyota monopolises the podium with the Hilux stable at a shining 10% share, followed by the Corolla at 7.7% and the Camry at 5.4%.
After a couple of months at slightly lower levels, the Ford Expedition is back at stratospheric heights, up to #7 with 2,274 sales and 3.6% (vs. 2.9% year-to-date and 1.4% in 2011), its second best month in Saudi Arabia after reaching #6 and 4.1% last August. But the best performer in November is without doubt the Chevrolet Colorado, up to #11 at 1,261 units and 2% for its first full month in market… The Isuzu D-Max is back in the Top 10 at #10 while Chevrolet Sonic also excels, up 40 spots on October to #15 with 912 sales and 1.4%.
Further down, notice the Toyota FJ Cruiser at #24 (after ranking #22 in October), the Chevrolet Traverse at #26 vs. #51 year-to-date, the GMC Acadia up 11 ranks to #35, the Ford Figo up 94 to #44, the Lexus LS up 83 to #69, the Chevrolet Trailblazer landing directly at #110 with 46 sales and the Kia Quoris arriving at #151.
