Canada October 2012: Ford F-Series close to all-time record

Still by far the best-selling vehicle in the country at 8,020 sales this month and up 15% year-on-year, the Ford F-Series now adds up to 92,094 units so far in 2012. It should beat its 97,913 annual sales record set in 2010 by the end of November and become the first ever vehicle to sell more than 100,000 units in a single year in Canada by the time 2012 comes to a close. Historical times indeed for Ford Canada.

Ford Escape

Below, the Dodge RAM reclaims the 2nd spot it holds in the year-to-date ranking thanks to 5,602 sales in October and 58,839 YTD (+9%) while the Honda Civic is back down to #3 at 5,041 units and 53,235 YTD (+24%). Excellent showing of the Ford Escape, up one spot on September and 31% year-on-year to #4 with 4,353 sales, the only time in the last 2 years with last July it ranks that high in Canada.

Chevrolet Orlando

Further down, the Hyundai Elantra is up 26% to #5, the Toyota Corolla up 3 ranks to #6, the Chevrolet Cruze and VW Jetta both up 22% to #9 and #11, the Honda Accord up 177% to #19, Nissan Versa up 36% to #20, Toyota Yaris up 86% to #30, Toyota Tacoma up 28% to #31, the Chevrolet Orlando up 43 spots on September and 157% year-on-year to #33 and the Kia Rondo up 15 and 157% also to #38.

Range Rover

Finally, notice the Dodge Dart up 17% and 8 ranks on last month to #55 with 708 sales, the BMW X3 up 6 to #61 vs. #86 year-to-date, Mazda6 up 19 to #66, Subaru XV Crosstrek and Acural ILX both up 18 to #71 and #84. The Range Rover is up to #153 with 112 sales vs. #201 year-to-date, delivering double the sales of any month in the last 3 years… The Cadillac ATS makes its first appearance in the Canadian ranking at #178 with 56 units sold.
