You can see my original World 2011 Top 35 article here (note some figures have changed since)

The top of the ranking is unscathed up to #18 compared to my last update, with the Toyota Corolla leading with 1,141,709 sales, followed by the Ford Focus at 882,551 units, the VW Golf at 864,462, the VW Polo at 788,789, Ford Fiesta at 767,465, Hyundai Elantra at 751,967 and Wuling Sunshine at 731,689. The Chevrolet Cruze, Ford F-Series and VW Jetta complete the Top 10.

The Mercedes C-Class is #41, the BMW 5 Series #46 and the Audi A4 #48. Best year ever for the Nissan Qashqai at #38 and 382,741 units. With the Peugeot 207 at the end of its career at #57, the 24 year-old Peugeot 405/Pars produced in Iran should be the brand’s best-seller this year at #52 and an estimated 306,000 sales!

Nissan Juke

Fiat’s top seller is the South American Uno at #54 with 297,234 units, above the Punto at #58 and the Palio at #63. The Nissan Tiida/Versa you reference in list is the hatchback (http://www.nissanusa.com/versa-hatchback/?next=header.vlp.postcard.picture.thumbnail.) or it includes the sales of the Versa Sedan (http://www.nissanusa.com/versa-sedan/?next=header.vlp.postcard.picture.thumbnail.) too?

    Thanks,

In Brazil we have a particularity in relation to global cars from factories.

The Chevrolet Sail here is Sold as Corsa Classic (Popularly known as the Opel Corsa B)

The Chevrolet Vectra in Brazil is the Opel Astra (European)
The Chevrolet Astra is a national project (an evolution of the Belgian Astra)

This survey is considered the cars sold in Brazil with their peculiarities.

Thank you and congratulations for the article

Max :But I’m surprised to see the Renault Megane behind the Citroen C4 ? In Europe, the Renault sells much better…

True, but in China Renault sells practically nothing, while Citroen is already pretty well established and sort of mid-table sales wise.

It’s still a poor performance by the Megane anyhow. I’m pretty sure the last gen sold better.
