Portugal September 2011: Megane leads, Mercedes C Class excels

Portuguese car sales are down 10% in September at 12,455 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 130,364 units, down 20%. The Renault Megane is back in pole position this month at 376 sales and 3% share, reinforcing its 2011 leadership at 6,843 units and 5.2%.

Despite average performances this month, the Seat Ibiza, Renault Clio, VW Polo and Opel Corsa all hold their position in the year-to-date ranking, respectively #2, 3, 4, and 5.

Great September performers include the Ford Fiesta at #2 (#8 YTD), the VW Golf at #3 (#6 YTD), the Mercedes C Class at #4 (#13 YTD) and the Ford Focus at #5 (#14 YTD). Notice also the Nissan Juke at an excellent 17th place year-to-date with 1,767 sales and 1.4% share.

    You really need to stop calling people liars. Autohoje number 1149, page 68. I’ll scan the f*cking magazine and send it to Matt if there’s a need for it. Hell, i’ll send the whole thing by mail.
    And in case you aren’t aware, AutoHoje and Guia do automovel are sister publications, who share their data.

    Matt, this data is completely wrong!!! Auto hoje magazine never published data about best selling cars in Portugal!!! The one that published every month is “guia do automóvel” a pocket car magazine. This is not correct at all, I´m sure!
