UK October 2011: BMW 3 Series up to #6

For the second time in the last 3 months the UK market is up year-on-year at +3% and 134,944 registrations. The year-to-date total is down 4% at 1,688,038 units. The Ford Fiesta is in pole position for the 8th consecutive month at a solid 7,308 sales and 5.4% share.

The Vauxhall Corsa takes the 2nd spot at 6,300 units and 4.7%, passing the Ford Focus, #3 with 5,203 sales and 3.9%. English consumers don’t seem to react that well to the new generation of the model… VW Golf and Vauxhall Astra follow while the BMW 3 Series, in run-out mode now that the new generation has been unveiled, is up 3 spots on September to #6 at 3,664 sales and 2.7%.

Honda Jazz

Notice a very rare appearance in the Top 10 this month: the Honda Jazz is up to #10 with 2,472 units and 1.8%, for what is just its 4th time in the monthly English Top 10, the first since February 2009…
