Morocco September 2011: Renault Kangoo reclaims leadership

The new car market in Morocco is up by 8% over the first 9 months of the year at 75,000 units. Thanks to the new generation finally in dealerships, the Renault Kangoo reclaims a pole position it hasn’t occupied in Morocco since 2005 with 8,884 sales over 9 months for a robust 11.8% share.

Dacia Sandero

The Dacia Logan is only…58 sales behind at 8,826 units and Dacia is still the best-selling brand in the country with 17,203 sales and 20.4% share, up 23% while Renault is at 14,085 units and 17.4%. The Dacia Sandero rounds up the podium with 4,657 sales and 6.2%, ahead of the Dacia Duster at #4 and 3,698 units for a very strong 4.9% share.

The Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo follow, both at 3.3%, while the Kia Picanto is the best-selling non-French model in 7th place with 2,332 sales and 3.1%. The Ford Focus excels in 9th place at 1,882 units and 2.5%.
