The Light Commercial Vehicle market continues to struggle in China, down 6% year-on-year in August at 339,387 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 3,290,918 units, also down 6%.
Both Wuling models go against the trend: the Wuling Sunshine leads the way for the 8th consecutive month and reaches its highest volume since March at 59,395 units, up 8% year-on-year. This is to be compared with the 48,795 sales of the Ford F-Series in the USA this month and the 31,434 units of the VW Golf sold all over Europe…
The Wuling Rongguang/Xingwang does even better, up 28% year-on-year with 31,068 sales to reach the 2nd spot for the first time ever. It is also the first time Wuling manages to places two models in the first two ranks. The Foton Forland closes up the podium (-5%) while the DongFeng Mini Bus reaches a best-ever #4.
