Japan Kei Cars August 2011: Suzuki WagonR #1, Nissan Moco up

At 113,328 units, the Kei cars market is down 16% year-on-year. The Top 5 best-sellers are unchanged vs. July: the Suzuki Wagon R leads the way at 12,933 sales (-4%), followed by the Daihatsu Move at 11,812 units (-8%), the Daihatsu Tanto at 11,516 sales (-22%), the Suzuki Alto (-21%) and the Daihatsu Mira (-27%). This order is also the same year-to-date.

In 6th position, the Nissan Moco shines with 4,677 sales, up 2 spots and 3% year-on-year. The Nissan Roox is also in shape at #8 and +6% as well as the Suzuki MR Wagon at #10 and +91% and the Mazda AZ Wagon, up 4 spots on July to #12 but down 29%.
