Poland July 2011: Skoda Octavia and Ford Focus dominate

Traditionally late to unveil July models data, Poland sees new car sales drop by 5% this month at 23,181 registrations and by 6% year-to-date at 160,550 units. The Skoda Octavia is still leader with 1,550 sales and 6.7% share in July and 9,465 and 5.9% year-to-date. The Ford Focus climbs up one spot on June to reach an excellent 2nd place thanks to the arrival of the new generation with 1,106 sales and 4.8% but stays 4th year-to-date at 5,430 units and 3.4%.
The Opel Astra is down to #3 this month with 880 sales and 3.8%, still 2nd year-to-date at 4.3%. Very good month for the Fiat Panda, up 46% year-on-year to #4 at 815 units and 3.5%, relegating the Skoda Fabia to 5th place at 3.4%. Other good performers this month include the VW Passat up 49% to #6 and the Renault Megane up 61% to #8.
