Croatia July 2011: A first, the Hyundai i30 in pole position!

For the first time this year, Croatian car sales are down, by 8% year-on-year in July at 3,663 units. The year-to-date total is still up a healthy 15% at 26,800 units. Over the first 7 months of the year, the Opel Astra reclaims the leadership it has held at year-end in the country for the last 6 years in a row, with 1,251 sales and 4.7%.
The Hyundai i30 manages a first in Croatia: it leads the ranking this month with an excellent 199 units and 5.4% market share, ahead of the Opel Astra (4.5%) and VW Polo (4.2%).
Other great performers this month are the Citroen C4, up 8 spots on June to 4th place and the Ford Focus, up 15 spots to 5th position, both cars at 140 sales and 3.8% share. The Peugeot 308 is up to #6 and the Kia Cee’d up to #11.
