Slovakia June 2011: Kia Sportage #3, Seat Ibiza in Top 10

Slovak consumers have bought 6,298 new cars in June, up 2% year-on-year, bringing the 1st Half 2011 figure to 34,183 units, up 23%. Skoda dominates the market again, placing the Octavia #1 with 619 sales (9.8%) and the Fabia #2 at 528 units (8.45%), both at stronger market shares than their 2011 levels.

The Kia Sportage continues to impress and manages to stay on the podium at a brilliant 2.7% market share, also #3 year-to-date at 3%. The VW Polo is up 3 spots to #4, followed by the Hyundai i30 (+1) and the Suzuki SX4 (+3). The Seat Ibiza breaks into the Slovak Top 10 at #9 with 111 sales (1.8%), thanks to the success the station wagon making up 45% of total sales.
