Denmark April 2011: Hyundai i30 jumps to number 1

New car sales in Denmark are up 9% in April at 13,059 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 53,808 units, up 19%. After 3 months of Chevrolet Spark domination, this month the #1 honours go to the Hyundai i30, up 30 spots with 405 sales and 3.1% share. The Toyota Aygo is up one spot to #2 at 370 units and 2.8%, and the Opel Astra rounds off the podium with 340 sales and 2.6%.

The Toyota Avensis is back on the up at #4, ahead of the Opel Corsa and the Chevrolet Spark, down 5 spots to #6 with 313 sales and 2.4%. The Spark however keeps the pole position in the year-to-date ranking by far at 2,569 units and 4.8%. Notice the Kia Picanto, up 10 spots at #12 and the Audi A3 at #20 with 229 sales and 1.4%.
