Croatian car sales are up for the third month in a row, an encouraging +12% in March at 3,836 units. Once again the Skoda Octavia takes the lead with 255 sales and 6.5% share. Local website Slobodna Dalmacija explains part of this sales surge by the high volume of Police fleet deliveries of the model over the period!

In #2 comes the Opel Astra at 5.8%, followed by the Renault Megane (3.6%), Renault Clio (3.5%) and VW Polo (3.3%). Dacia places two models in the Top 10: the Sandero in 8th position (2.7%) and the Duster in 10th (2.5%), breaking into the Top 10 for the very first time in Croatia.

    Hi Matt,

I saw there was a notice at the end of the link I’ve posted. It says: “All the data were published with the special authorization of Promocija plus Agency. Taking over these data from our pages is not allowed.”

So you decide are there any copyright issues, you would like to consider.

I am sorry, if these data won’t be as useful as they might have seemed initially.

However, by googling words “Promocija plus” in combination with the names of car brands or models and years, I guess you could easily find some open/free sources.

you might want to check this link: http://www.autonet.hr/rubrika/17/hr-trziste-v-3

It contains the web-archive with the data for Croatia about the best-selling car brands, car models and the number of sold cars according to the fuel type for the years 2005-2010.

The data are taken from Promocija plus Agency.

Btw, you are running a truly fascinating blog. Thank you so much. I was trying for years to find data for some countries such as Greece, but your data are the most extensive I’ve encountered.
