USA March 2011: Nissan Altima best selling passenger car! Discover the Top 60 best selling models

US car sales are up 17% at 1,246,668 registrations this month, and a few manufacturers break their monthly sales record, among them Nissan, Hyundai and Kia.
Behind the usual Ford F-Series (53,272 sales) and Chevrolet Silverado (32,555), the Nissan Altima climbs onto the podium this month and is the best-selling passenger car in the US for the first time ever at 32,289 units.
The Honda Accord (31,533 sales), Toyota Camry (31,464) and Honda Civic (31,213) follow. At #8, the Ford Fusion sets a new monthly sales record with 27,566 units, and the Ford Escape has its second best month ever at 23,975 sales (#9).
Hyundai places the Sonata at #10 with 22,894 sales (+21%) and the new Elantra at #13 with 19,255 units (+134%). Perhaps Hyundai will manage to place two models in the Top 10 within the next few months… The Nissan Rogue sets a new monthly record at 14,174 sales (#23).
The Ford Explorer continues its progression at #24 and has its best month since June 2007 at 12,482 units (+111%). Kia has two models over 10,000 sales (Sorento & Soul) for the first time ever. The Ford Fiesta breaks into the Top 40 for the first time (#38 at 9,787 sales), its #1 market being Los Angeles.
