At 294,239 registrations, the Swiss car market is up 11% this year. Not surprisingly, the VW Golf is the best selling car in the country again, with 4.1% of the market. The only other two models above 2% share are the Skoda Octavia (2.6%) and VW Polo (2.1%), Switzerland keeping its title of most fragmented car market in the world.

The Opel Astra (up 24 spots and 77% at #4) and Renault Megane (up 10 spots and 33% at #7) deliver great performances this year, while the BMW X1 jumps to 15th (it was 21st at mid-year), better than anywhere else in the world, the Opel Meriva is up 89% at #31 and the Dacia Sandero up 152% at #32.
