Luxembourg 2008: VW Golf back to #1, BMW 1 Series up to #2!

After two years dominated by the Renault Clio, the Luxembourg car market returns to its default position: with the VW Golf on the throne. In a market up 3% to 50,905 registrations, Golf sales are up 8% to 2,051 units and a very robust 4% market share. 4 years after its original launch, the BMW 1 Series shoots up to #2, up 123% to an amazing 1,767 units sold. Luxembourg is the 1 Series’s best country in the world in terms of ranking.
The BMW 3 Series stays 3rd only two units below its little sister, making it 2 BMW’s on the podium this year! #1 for the past two years, the Renault Clio is down 17% to #4 this year, followed by the Peugeot 207 (+15%) and Audi A4 (+42%).
