Brazil 2003: VW Gol, Chevy Corsa & Fiat Palio on podium

Brazilian car sales are down 3% in 2003 at 1,352,220 registrations. The VW Gol stays comfortable leader albeit at -13% and 180,659 units for a 13.4% share. In actual fact, the Top 7 stays unchanged year-on-year, with the Chevrolet Corsa at #2 with 121,122 sales (-8%).

The Fiat Palio follows with 119,371 units (-9%) ahead of the Chevrolet Celta, up 9% at 115,142 sales, and the Fiat Uno, stable at 96,995 sales. The Fiat Siena is up 18% and 2 spots at #8, and the Toyota doubles its sales to reach an excellent 10th place at 35,823 units.

Two all-new models integrate the Top 30 this year: the Ford Ecosport is #14 with 27,237 sales and the Honda Fit is #21 at 15,110 units sold.
