Finland 1993: Toyota Corolla sovereign

In 1993 the Toyota Corolla dominates the Finnish models ranking with an iron fist at 4,918 sales for a massive 8.8% market share. It is followed by the Opel Astra at 4,306 units and 7.7% and the Nissan Sunny at 4,210 sales and 7.5%. These 3 models are head and shoulders above the competition, with the Toyota Carina holding the 4th spot at 2,555 units and 4.6% ahead of the Opel Vectra (3.7%) and the Volvo 440/460 (3.6%).
VW Vento
Lada is still very strong in Finland compared to the rest of Europe: the 1200/2107 ranks 9th with 1,470 sales and 2.6% while the Samara is #12 at 1,338 units and 2.4%. Notice also the VW Vento at #14 and 2.3%, the brand’s best-seller this year in Finland, the Pontiac Trans Sport at #45 and the Hyundai Pony at #47.
