Greece 1993: Toyota Corolla ahead

After a record year in 1992, the Greek new car market is down 26% to 147,789 registrations in 1993. Taking the relay from the Nissan Sunny, the Toyota Corolla is the best-selling model in the country this year with 8,620 sales and 5.8% share. The Seat Ibiza ranks 2nd at 7,271 units and 4.9% ahead of the Nissan Sunny with 6,701 sales and 4.5%. Two Fiats follow: the Cinquecento at #4 and 3.6% and the Uno at #5 and 3.5%.
The Opel Astra, Citroen ZX and Peugeot 106 are also successful while the Rover 200 delivers an impressive 9th place thanks to 4,234 sales. The Renault 19 closes the Top 10. Below, notice the Skoda Favorit at #13, the Suzuki Swift at #15, BMW 3 Series at #16, Hyundai Pony at #18, Alfa Romeo 33 at #19, Lada Samara at #25 and Hyundai Scoupe at #29.
