Spain 1985: Renault 11 distant leader at 13.5% share

In 1985 the Spanish new car market is up a very healthy 13.7% year-on-year to 552.835 registrations. Renault dominates the brands ranking with 30.5% share above Ford at 13.8%, Seat at 12.8% and Opel at 12.1%. The Renault 11 is by far the best-selling model with a gigantic 13.5% share, distancing the Opel Corsa at 9.2%, the Peugeot 205 at 7.5%, Renault Supercinq at 6% and the Ford Fiesta at 5.3%.
Local carmaker Seat places four nameplates in the Top 20: the Panda at #8, the Malaga at #12, the Ibiza at #13 and the Ronda at #17.
