Up 15% on last year, the Norwegian car market passes the 50,000 annual registrations for the first time in 1964 at 55,326 units. For the 6th time in a row the VW Beetle is in pole position and thanks to sales up 25% it is the first model in the history of automobile in Norway to sell over 10,000 units in a single year at 10,092 sales and 18.2% share vs. 16.8% in 1963.
Ford Taunus 12M
The Ford Taunus 12M/15M is up a huge 147% year-on-year to land at a best-ever 2nd place with 4,538 units and 8.2%, and is followed by the Opel Rekord/Caravan at 7.1%, the Volvo Amazon at 6.2% and the Opel Kadett at 5.9%.
