Uzbekistan Full Year 2025: Chevrolet Cobalt at 30.1% share

The Chevrolet Cobalt is the most popular vehicle in Uzbekistan in 2025.

Thanks to our reader JFK we can share with you today exclusive data for Uzbekistan. The Uzbek new car market is up 5% year-on-year in 2025 to 427,103 units. Local manufacturer Chevrolet (+0.5%) holds a suffocating 83.2% share, yet this is significantly down on the 87.9% of 2024. Indeed the (mostly Chinese) competition is getting organised, albeit at a fair distance. Kia (+32.4%) is up to 6% share, BYD (+39.4%) up to 5.6%, Chery (+49.9%) up to 2.6% and Haval (+172.1%) up to 2.1%. Hyundai is up 411.6% but only holds 0.2% share.

Over in the models ranking, the Top 2 nameplates account for a whopping 55.6% of the market (57.9% in 2024). The Chevrolet Cobalt (+1%) and Damas (+2.7%) both post modest growth. The Chevrolet Tracker (+19.9%) and Labo (+47.6%) on the other hand are very dynamic. The Onix (-1.9%), at #5, means the Top 5 is monopolised by Chevrolet (Top 6 in 2024). The Kia Sonet (+153.3%) is the best of the rest at #7, with BYD placing three models inside the Top 10: the Song Plus Champion, Yuan Up and Chazor Champion.
