United Arab Emirates January 2026: Jetour (+63.1%), Mitsubishi (+12.6%) impress in market off -1.8%
The Mitsubishi Outlander is up to #4 in the UAE in January.
The UAE new light vehicle market edges down -1.8% year-on-year in January to 24,331 units. Toyota (-0.3%) is stable at 24.1% share, distancing Nissan (+3.1%) at 17%. Mitsubishi (+12.6%) impresses at #3 while Jetour (+63.1%) continues to spectacularly gear up but stays at #4, a ranking it also held in January 2025. Ford (+0.5%) is up to 5th place ahead of MG (-4.3%). BMW/Mini (+17.5%) displays very solid growth while Geely (+1.4%) is also in positive but shy. Further down, notice Isuzu (+77.9%) and Honda (+52.6%) both posting fantastic gains. Newcomer Soueast is up to #24 with 0.5% share.
Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (+20.1%) is in pole position, improving its share to 7.1%. #1 a year ago, the Nissan Patrol (-11.1%) suffers and retrogrades to #2 this month with a still robust 6.5% share. The Nissan Sunny (+11.4%) follows but the most impressive inside the Top 10 are the Mitsubishi Outlander (+181.4%) and Toyota Ace (+94.2%). The Jetour T2 (+24.4%) also shines but is down to #5 vs. #3 over the Full Year 2025. Other strong gainers in the Top 10 are the Isuzu N-Series (+83.1%) and Nissan X-Trail (+30.9%).
