Liechtenstein Full Year 2025: BMW steps up to #1 spot in weak market (-11.3%)

Liechtenstein is located between Switzerland and Austria and home to 40,000 inhabitants. The new car market here is down a painful -11.3% year-on-year in 2025 to 1,387 units. Once again we have a big change in the brands ranking: BMW (-2.6%) resists better than the rest and leapfrogs past Mercedes (-18%), Audi (-15.8%) and Volkswagen (-8.4%) to snap the 2025 pole position. Meanwhile Skoda (+5%) and Kia (+14.6%) are the only year-on-year gainers in the Top 10, advancing to #5 and #8 respectively. Volvo (-33.7%) is in great difficulty but still manages to stay #7. Notice also Land Rover (-6.1%) inside the Top 10 at #9 with 3.3% share. We welcome MG (#26), Leapmotor (#32) and Skywell (#39).
