Kazakhstan Full Year 2025: Record market, Hyundai and Chevrolet Cobalt stay #1

Yet another record for new vehicle sales in Kazakhstan, up a very solid 14.5% year-on-year in 2025 to 234,852. This marks an impressive 9th consecutive year of growth. Hyundai (+15%) follows the market to threepeat at #1 with 21.7% share, distancing Chevrolet (+25.7%) at 16.6% vs. 15.1% last year. In fact the Top 4 brands are unchanged on 2024, with Kia (+1.5%) and Chery (-2.1%) in tow but underperforming. Jetour (+52.6%) is up three spots to #5 and 6.2% share ahead of Haval (+6.4%) and Toyota (+2.7%). Changan (+32.3%), Geely (+18.5%) and JAC (-21.2%) make it 6 Chinese brands in the Top 10.

Model-wise, the Chevrolet Cobalt (+19.8%) tightens its grip to 13.5% share and lodges a 5th consecutive month at #1. It even reached a whopping 27.6% share in November. The Hyundai Tucson (-7.6%) struggles but stays #2 above the Kia Sportage (+24.4%) which means the podium is identical to 2024. The Hyundai Mufasa ends its first full year of sales at a brilliant 4th place with 3.5% share. It distances the Hyundai Elantra (+20.7%) and Santa Fe (+30.3%), making it four Hyundai models inside the Top 6. The JAC S3 (+269.6%), Chevrolet Onix (+138.3%) and Changan CS55 Plus (+51.1%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10.
