Dominican Republic Full Year 2025: Toyota Hilux #1, Suzuki Jimny up to #5

Suzuki Jimny sales are up 72% in the Dominican Republic in 2025.

Today we have access to very rare data about the Dominican Republic. The market is down a painful -14% in 2025 to 38,008 units. Here too Toyota dominates with a splendid 17.5% share, up from 15% in 2024 thanks to stable sales. But it didn’t rank #1 last year, it was Kia (-43%) instead, now down to a distant #2 with 11.4% of the market. Hyundai (-23%) repeats at #3 and the next three carmakers all defy the negative context to climb up: Suzuki is up 91%, Chevrolet up 47% and Geely up 86%.

Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (-4%) leads the way with an improved 8.3% share, well ahead of the Isuzu D-Max (-1%) up one spot to #2. The Kia Seltos (-27%) freefalls to #3 while the Hyundai Tucson (+6%) repeats at #4. The Suzuki Jimny (+72%) brilliantly breaks into the Top 10 at #5. followed by the Honda CR-V (-9%) and Geely GX3 (+35%), the latter also making its entrance inside the Top 10.
