Azerbaijan Full Year 2025: Sales surge 114%. Chinese at 68% share, BYD and Nevo on top

Nevo holds 22.1% share of the Azerbaijani market in 2025.

Azerbaijan is back on BSCB! This is one of the (if not the) most dynamic car markets in the world, with a 114.1% year-on-year surge in 2025 to 69,832 sales. The Chinese dominate the charts, with 6 brands inside the Top 10 and at least 68% market share! The brands ranking is completely reshuffled for 2025, with BYD (+410%) taking the lead just above Nevo (+636.1%) aka Changan Qiyuan which posts by far its best result in the world with 22.1% share. Changan (+633.1%) follows at 19.2% of the market, which means Changan’s two brands add up to 41.3% share. Toyota (+20%) is the best of the rest at 9.9% share in 4th place whereas it ranked #1 with 17.7% in 2024.

Model-wise, we have a new leader in the BYD Chazor (+632%), aka Destroyer 05, holding a mammoth 14.6% share and followed closely by the Changan UNI-Z. #1 in 2024, the Chevrolet Cobalt crashes -57% to #10 this year. Nevo strikingly monopolises the next three spots with the A05, Q07 and Q05. Alongside the Cobalt, the Toyota Corolla Cross (+36%) is the only other non Chinese model in the Top 10.
