Slovakia Full Year 2025: Skoda Octavia threepeats at #1, Kia Ceed wins two months

The Slovak new car market is stable in 2025 at -0.3% year-on-year to 93,103 units. Skoda (-3.2%) loses market share to a still ultra dominant 20.1%, selling more than twice the amount of the #2 Volkswagen (+3.3%) up two spots on last year. Kia (-2.9%) also underperforms but does better than Toyota (-8.2%) down two ranks to #4. Hyundai (-12.1%) and Dacia (-11.3%) struggle but camp on their 2024 ranking at #5 and #6 respectively. In contrast Citroen (+43.2%) delivers the biggest YoY gain in the Top 20 and shoots up 5 spots to #7 and 3.7% share. Below, Audi (+42%) and Ford (+36.9%) stand out. BYD lands at #31, Leapmotor at #34, Omoda at #37, Xpeng at #38 and Jaecoo at #39.
Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (+0.9%) is stable and threepeats at #1. It is followed one percentage point below by the Kia Ceed (+13.1%) up two spots on last year and #1 in January and August. The Skoda Fabia (-22.1%) is relegated to third place above the Skoda Karoq (+3.2%) and Kia Sportage (-6.6%). The Hyundai i30 (-31.9%) freefalls to #6 but was a freak #1 in November. Excellent scores also by the Skoda Kodiaq (+13.5%), Hyundai i20 (+12.6%), Toyota Yaris Cross (+18.4%) and Yaris (+12.6%).
