Panama Full Year 2025: Toyota Hilux signs 5th straight win

The Toyota Hilux has been the best-seller in Panama since 2021.

The Panama new light vehicle market is up 12% year-on-year in 2025 to 60,233 units. Toyota (+2.8%) easily remains in the brands top spot but sees its share fall from 20.8% to 19.1%. Kia (+2.1%) also loses share to 12.7% as does Hyundai (-0.9%) to 11.6%. The podium however remains unchanged on 2024. Outstanding performances below by Geely (+33.8%) up to #4 and Suzuki (+16.4%) at #5. Jetour (+57.8%) breaks into the Top 10 for the first time at #8 while Isuzu (+10.3%) and Changan (+9.8%) are also relatively solid in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Jaecoo (+472.3%), Kaiyi (+260.1%), Dongfeng (+113.7%) and Chery (+92.7%) stand out.

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (+4.5%) is on top for the 5th straight year at 5.3%. Like in 2024, it distances the Hyundai Grand i10 (+14%), Kia Soluto (+7.6%) and Toyota Yaris Cross (+10.2%). The Kia Picanto (+10.9%) is up three ranks to #5 ahead of the Hyundai Creta (-7.5%), Toyota RAV4 (-4.6%) and Kia Seltos (+5.9%) up six spots to #8. The Suzuki Jimny shoots up from outside the 2024 Top 20 directly to #11, with the Mazda CX-5 (+38.9%), Toyota Prado (+31.4%) and Geely Coolray (+20.2%) also strong.
