Moldova Full Year 2025: Toyota RAV4 returns to #1, BYD Song Plus and Jetour X50 in Top 10

Data by our local partner CE Auto shows a Moldovan new car market up another fantastic 26.7% year-on-year in 2025 to 13,101 units. This follows a 15.2% lift in 2024, +15.3% in 2023, +13.5% in 2022 and 31% in 2021. This year the Toyota RAV4 (+19.3%) climbs back into the top spot despite trailing the market for its third ever annual win after 2020 and 2021. The Kia Sportage (+15.1%) is also up one rank to #2, both models benefitting from the collapse of the Dacia Duster (-31.4%) which had been #1 for the past three years. The Skoda Kodiaq (+18.2%) remains in 4th position ahead of the Hyundai Tucson (+109.9%). The BYD Song Plus (#6), Toyota Corolla Cross (#7), Jetour X50 (#9) and Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (#10) break into a Top 10 entirely composed of SUVs.
