For the 4th consecutive year, new car sales in Mauritius reach a new record at 18,082 units, up 5.6% year-on-year. Suzuki (+11.9%) tightens its grip over the market even further, reaching 26.7% share. It even held 28.4% over Q1. The gap with the #2 Toyota (-13.9%) is now over 3,000 units vs. 2,200 last year. Kia (+9.7%) ensures the podium is unchanged on 2024. Mazda (-1.1%) overtakes a sinking Nissan (-29.1%) to 4th place with Mitsubishi (-1.7%) staying at #6. Below, BYD (+113.6%) is up 8 spots to crack the Top 10 at #10 with 2.6% share, with GWM (+66.3%), Perodua (+33.6%), Isuzu (+27.3%) and MG (+26.5%) also sporting fantastic gains.
