Malaysia November 2025: Perodua Ativa (+85.9%), Aruz (+46.3%) impress in solid market (+7.6%)

77,245 new light vehicles found a buyer in Malaysia in November, a sturdy 7.6% year-on-year lift. The year remains in negative territory however, just, at -0.6% to 767,011. Perodua (+5.8%) almost matches its home market and delivers a strong 43.6% share vs. 42.1% year-to-date. Proton (+11.3%) does even better at #2 while Toyota (-0.1%) and Honda (-7.4%) both struggle. BYD (+117.8%) surges ahead to repeat at a record 5th place with an all-time high 2.2% share, also reached last month. Tesla (+376.6%) soars to its best score since we started following Malaysia monthly to #8 and 1.7% share. Mazda (+72.3%) and Chery (+64.6%) also post sensational gains.

Model-wise, the Perodua Bezza (-4.6%) can’t catch up with the positive market but still lodges a solid 11.7% share while the Perodua Axia (-0.9%) returns to its traditional 2nd place. The Proton Saga (+20.9%), #2 for the past two months, falls back to #3 and 8.5% which is still above its YTD level of #4 and 8.3%. It is boosted by a significant facelift. Perodua trusts the next three spots with the Myvi (-11.3%), Ativa up a stunning 85.9% and Alza up 5.5%. Below the Toyota Vios (-3.3%), the Toyota HIlux (+11.7%), Honda City (+13.3%) and Perodua Aruz (+46.3%) all impress.
