London (UK) Full Year 2025: Omoda 5 ultra dominant

The Omoda 5 is the surprise best-seller in London in 2025.

According to data by SMMT, new car sales in Greater London gain a very solid 7.2% year-on-year in 2025 to 91,696. The models ranking is completely reshuffled this year and we have a surprise leader. Indeed the Omoda 5 surges from outside the 2024 Top 10 directly into pole position, and with a wide gap (one percentage point of share) over the #2, the Tesla Model Y (-26%) which had been #1 for the previous three years. The Ford Puma (+39.6%) is back up to #3 while the Volvo XC40 lands at #4. Other newcomers in the Top 10 are the Toyota bZ4X at #6, the Audi A3 at #8 and the Mercedes GLA at #10.
