Iran Full Year 2025: Market up to 1.2 million units, Saipa Atlas and Iran Khodro Reera land

We have enlarged our coverage of the Iranian market this year, with 27 brands included in this update adding up to 1,192,969 sales vs. 992,102 in 2024. The first striking element concerning this extended list is the multitude of local brands created to produce and sell rebadged Chinese models. BAC sells the Geely GX3,  FMC sells the Forthing T5 as the T5 among others, Fownix sells Chery rebadges (interesting given Chery and MVM do the same): The F7 is a Tiggo 8 and the Z6 GT is an Arrizo 6. KMC sells the SWM G01 as the A5 and the JAC J4 as the Eagle, Lamari sells the Forthing T5 Evo as the Eama and the Aeolus Shine as the Echo among others, the Jaecoo J5, J7 and J8 are sold as the Lucano 5, 7 and 8 respectively and Xtrim sells six Exeed models.

In the brands charts, Iran Khodro leads head and shoulders with over 400,000 sales, almost 100,000 more than #2 Saipa at 310,000. Peugeot is just above 175,000. MVM (Chery models) reaches 46,000 with JAC and Zamyad in tow. Bahman and Chery follow, with KMC and Haima rounding out the Top 10. FMC is #11, Lamari #12, Lucano #13, Fownix #14 and Xtrim #16.

Iran Khodro Reera

The Peugeot 206/405/Pars (-4.6%) tops the models ranking, ahead of the Iran Khodro Samand/Soren (+51.3%) and Iran Khodro Dena (+13.2%). The Saipa Quick (+37.1%) and Iran Khodro Tara (+41%) close out the Top 5 while the Saipa Tiba (+58.5%) shoots up 7 spots to #6. Below, the Saipa 151 Van, Saipa Shahin and Zamyad Z24 all implode. The new Saipa Atlas lands directly at #10. Further down, notice the Saipa Sahand up 91.3% and the Iran Khodro Reera appearing for the first time with 7,568 sales.
