New car sales in Greece advance by a solid 5.2% in 2025 to 144,199 units. This is the country’s best annual volume in 16 years: since the 220,412 sales of 2009. Toyota (-4.6%) continues to dominate the brands ranking head and shoulders at 15.6% share, albeit down from the 17.2% it commanded last year. Peugeot (+9.2%) and Hyundai (+10.7%) both beat the market and take advantage of a weak showing by Suzuki (-12.4%) to climb to #2 and #3 respectively. Opel (+18.3%) is also in excellent shape, up two ranks to #5 while BMW (+10.1%) stays at #6. Below, notice Dacia (+63.3%), Renault (+50.2%) and MG (+42.3%) all posting fantastic scores. Note Chinese newcomer Chery was up to #9 and 4% share in December.

Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris Cross (-2%) repeats at #1 with 5.6% of the market, a safe 1,600-unit advantage over the Peugeot 2008 (+29.2%) up one spot to #2. The Toyota Yaris (-23.2%) struggles at #3 while the Citroen C3 is stable at #4. The Suzuki Vitara (-7%) rounds out the Top 5 like it did last year. Outstanding performances below by the Suzuki Swift (+87.7%) up 13 spots to #6, the Renault Clio (+44.3%) up five to #7 and the Toyota C-HR (+22.4%) up three to #8. Just outside the Top 10, the Kia Picanto (+65.8%) and Dacia Sandero (+75.1%) impress. Note the new Chery Tiggo 4 was up to #4 in December.
