Switzerland November 2025: VW Tiguan returns to #1 in stable market
The VW Tiguan is the best-seller in Switzerland both in November and YTD.
Stable sales in Switzerland in November at -0.4% year-on-year to 19,615 units. The year-to-date tally is now down -3.4% to 206,993. 4×4 sales edge up 0.5% to 9,879 and 50.4% share vs. 49.9% a year ago but are down -6.4% YTD to 103,864 and 50.2% share vs. 51.8% last year. PHEV registrations soar 36.3% to 2,263 and 11.5% share vs. 8.4% in November 2024 and are up 25% YTD to 23,173 and 11.2% share vs. 8.7% over the same period in 2024. BEVs for their part gain 14.8% to 4,766 and 24.3% share vs. 21.1% a year ago and are up 10.2% YTD to 44,666 and 21.6% share vs. 18.9% last year.
Volkswagen (+14.5%) signs a strong performance to end the month at #1 with 12.7% share vs. 10.7% year-to-date. Only 57 sales below is Skoda (+29.8%) in even better shape at 12.4% share vs. 9.6% through November. The next four brands are in negative, with Mercedes (-1.3%) and Toyota (-2.8%) resisting but Audi (-22.9%) and BMW (-22.4%) in a rut. In contrast Hyundai (+24.2%) and Dacia (+20.5%) post very strong results and rank #8 and #7 respectively.
Model-wise, the VW Tiguan (+61.6%) surges ahead to 3.4% share and returns to the pole position for the third time this year. This is enough for it to cement its dominance year-to-date where it holds 2.1% of the market. Leader for the first time last month, the Skoda Elroq is down to a still impressive 2nd place with 2.8% share vs. 1.4% year-to-date (#10). The VW Golf (+15.4%) rounds out the podium and ranks #5 year-to-date vs. #10 over the Full Year 2024. Excellent performances also by the Dacia Sandero (+31.1%), Skoda Kodiaq (+23%) and Fabia (+23%). The Dacia Bigster breaks all its records at #11 with 294 sales and 1.5% share.
