Netherlands November 2025: VW ID.7 and Renault 5 break into Top 10

The Renault 5 ranks #8 in the Netherlands in November.

New car sales in the Netherlands edge up 3.3% year-on-year in November to 35,601 units, but the YTD volume remains in negative at -1.4% to 339,846. BEVs hold a fantastic 48.3% share this month thanks to 17,192 sales. HEV+PHEV are at 42%, Petrol at 8.8%, diesel at 0.5% and LPG at 0.4%. Volkswagen (-6.3%) struggles but stays #1 with 9.9% share, a full two percentage points above its YTD level of 7.9%. Renault (+54.6%) and Skoda (+36.7%) both post great scores to complete the podium. Meanwhile Kia (+17.5%) is up on a paltry year-ago result but can only muster a 7.4% share vs. 10.1% YTD where it is still #1. Audi (+23.9%) also excels at #5. Tesla is down -43.5%.

Over in the models aisle, the new Skoda Elroq repeats at #1 by a large margin at 4% share and advances to #2 year-to-date. The Kia EV3 (+985.6%) celebrates one year in market and is back up one spot on October to #2. It remains #1 year-to-date. The Tesla Model 3 (-10.7%) is up to #3 vs. #8 so far this year, with the Volvo EX30 (-40.9%) and Renault Clio (+72.4%) rounding out the Top 5 in opposite fashion. Meanwhile the VW ID.7 (+323.4%) breaks into the Top 10 for the first time at #6 and the Renault 5 (+1151.9%) does the same at #8. The Tesla Model Y is off -61.9% to #7.
