Ukraine October 2025: BYD at record 14.6% share, VW ID.Unyx #1 again, sales up 28%
The BYD Leopard 3 is up to 5th place in October.
The Ukrainian new car market is up a splendid 28% year-on-year in October to 7,525 sales. The year-to-date tally is now down just -3% to 60,228. Brand leader BYD (+511.1%) is up 6-fold year-on-year and improves its record share once again to 14.6%. The Chinese carmaker is down #3 year-to-date vs. #15 over the Full Year 2024. Toyota (+44.5%) is left in the dust at #2, followed by Volkswagen (+128.3%) and Skoda (+66.1%), both also surging. The big loser is Renault (-31.7%) down from 1st place a year ago to #5 this month. Hyundai (+63.1%) and Audi (+27.6%) are also in great shape in the remainder of the Top 10 but Zeekr (+130.3%) does even better and repeats at a record (and world best) #8. Notice also Xiaomi at #26 and 0.7% share, all grey imports.
Talking about grey imports, the new VW ID.Unyx is the best-selling model in Ukraine for the 2nd consecutive month and ranks #4 year-to-date. The BYD Song Plus (+402.6%) is back up one spot on September to 2nd place, toppling the Toyota RAV4 (+37.5%) also very solid. The Renault Duster (-37.6%) is in complete freefall but holds onto the YTD top spot by a large margin. The new BYD Leopard 3 (aka Fang Cheng Bao Tai 3) advances to a world best 5th place, distancing three soaring models: the Toyota Prado (+436.4%), Hyundai Tucson (+68.5%) and Skoda Kodiaq (+105.4%). The Top 11 models are all SUVs.
