United Arab Emirates January-September 2025: Jetour (+100.3%), Geely (+49.6%) stand out

Jetour sales double year-on-year in the UAE.

The Emirati new car market is up 5.2% year-on-year over the first 9 months of 2025 to 241,038. However this is mainly due to the addition of BMW/Mini whose sales were unavailable in 2024. Without the German manufacturer, the market is up by only 1.7%. Toyota (+4.2%) remains by far the most popular carmaker in the country with 24.4% share. Like last year, it distances Nissan (-5.3%) and Mitsubishi (-3.3%) both in difficulty. Jetour (+100.3%) doubles its volume yoy and storms into the Top 10 directly at #4. MG (+12.7%) is down one spot to a still very satisfying 5th place, ahead of Ford (+11.6%) and a surging Geely (+49.6%) slicing its year-ago ranking in two to #7. BMW/Mini appears at #8 with 3.4% share which is its best performance in the region.

As for the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (+36.7%) soars to first place ahead of the Nissan Patrol (+27.1%) and Toyota Land Cruiser (+14.2%). All models gain one spot over last year, taking advantage of the Nissan Sunny’s freefall at -48.8%. Meanwhile the Jetour T2 (+137.3%) climbs to #4 vs. #13 a year ago. The Nissan X-Trail (+16.6%) is also in great shape at #6, as are the Tesla Model Y (+73.3%), Toyota Ace (+67.9%) and Ford Territory (+27.4%) below. The Nissan Magnite is the most popular recent launch at #40, followed by the Haval H9 at #48, the Jetour T1 at #63, the Geely Cityray at #78 and the Fiat Titano at #79.
