United Arab Emirates August 2025: Geely (+101.7%), Jetour (+85.2%) highlight stable market
The Geely Emgrand is up to #6 in the UAE in August.
Emirati new light vehicle sales are stable in August at +0.3% to 27,179. This leads to a year-to-date tally up 4.6% to 208,681. Toyota (+7.3%) improves its market share to 25.8% vs. 24.6% so far this year whereas Nissan (-13.9%) disappoints at #2. Jetour (+85.2%) stays at a stunning their place but the best performer of the month is Geely (+101.7%) up five spots on July to #4 and now #8 year-to-date vs. #12 over the Full Year 2024. Mitsubishi (-11.5%) rounds out the Top 5 in poor fashion. MG (+9.3%), Ford (+7.3%) and Suzuki (+1.6%) manage to end the month in positive.
Model-wise, the podium is unchanged on last month with each member sporting tremendous gains. The Toyota Hilux is the best seller at +22%, ahead of the Nissan Patrol (+23.4%) and Jetour T2 (+72.3%). #1 a year ago, the Nissan Sunny (-42.8%) falters to #4 with 3.4% which is actually better than its YTD footprint. The Toyota Land Cruiser SW (-3.1%) closes the Top 5 above the Geely Emgrand (+305.3%) surging 16 spots on July to #6. The Toyota Ace (+131.4%) and Camry HEV (+64%) also make themselves noticed. Further down, the Changan Deepal S05 cracks the Top 40 at #39.
