Iraq January-September 2025: Kia places Frontier (+22%), Sorento (+26.1%) and Sportage (+51.1%) inside Top 4
The Kia Frontier is the most popular vehicle in Iraq so far in 2025.
120,480 new light vehicles found a buyer in Iraq over the first 9 months of 2025. That’s a measured 2.1% year-on-year improvement. Kia (+20.2%) scores a splendid lift to reclaims the brands top spot off Toyota (-26.5%) in dire straits. MG (+28.4%) is also in excellent shape and passes Hyundai (-39.8%) to land on the third step of the podium. Nissan (+704.6%) is back in the charts at #5 with 7.6% share, distancing Jetour (+45.2%) and Chevrolet (+30.4%). GMC (+35.3%) also impresses in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Ford (+76.5%), Ram (+76.1%), TANK (+30.8%), Lexus (+29.1%) and Mercedes (+24%) stand out.
Model-wise, the Kia Frontier (+22%) confirms it is back in charge, overtaking the Toyota Hilux (-11.1%) to #1. Kia also place the Sorento (+26.1%) at #3 and the Sportage (+51.1%) at #4. The Hyundai Tucson (-25.7%) skids to #5 ahead of the Nissan Sunny, MG 5 (+33.1%) and Toyota Land Cruiser (-20.9%). Outstanding performances by the Jetour T2 (+128.5%), MG 3 (+124.8%), Chevrolet Silverado (+588.5%) and Toyota Highlander HEV (+201%).
