Tunisia Full Year 2024: Hyundai i20 and Kia Picanto best-sellers in market up 2.4%
The Hyundai i20 is the best-selling vehicle in Tunisia in 2024.
For the first time in 5 years and thanks to our reader JFK we have access to Tunisian data. This market is up 2.4% year-on-year in 2024 to 57,137 units. This is split between 42,841 Passenger Cars (-1.2%) and 14,787 Light Commercials (+14%). Hyundai (-1.4%) is the most popular carmaker for the third consecutive years, commanding 11.9% of the market. Like last year it is followed by Kia (-13.1%). Peugeot (-12.5%) and Suzuki (-13.2%) both struggle but leapfrog past Toyota (-30%) in even worse shape. Renault (+137.8%) signs by far the biggest YoY gain in the Top 10, shooting up 8 spots on last year to #6. MG (+24.2%) is the only additional Top 10 member in positive.
Looking at the models ranking, the Hyundai i20 (+16.3%) is up two ranks to snap the pole position ahead of the Kia Picanto (+36.5%) and Isuzu D-Max Double Cabin (-11.8%). #1 over the Full Year 2023, the Hyundai Grand i10 (-24.6%) falls to #4. The Fiat Fiorino (+4%) rounds out the Top 5. Notice also the Kia Stonic (+651.5%), Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (+335.1%), Renault Clio (+330.4%), Renault Express Van (+189.2%), MG 5 (+31.1%) and Mahindra XUV 300 (+25.4%) all posting fantastic gains. New for the year, the Citroen C3 Populaire lands at #12 and the Chery Tiggo 1X Populaire at #17.
