United Arab Emirates H1 2025: Toyota Hilux above Nissan Patrol, Jetour T2 up to #4
The Toyota Hilux is the best-selling vehicle in the UAE halfway through 2025.
157,245 new cars found a buyer in the UAE over the First Half of 2025, a solid 5.4% year-on-year improvement. The Top 3 brands fail to match the market. Toyota (+2.5%) holds 24% share above Nissan (-3.3%) and Mitsubishi (-0.5%). As it is the case in most countries in the region, Jetour (+110.7%) stands out, gaining 9 spots on a year ago to climb to #4 overall with 4.7% share. MG (+18.1%), Ford (+9.5%) and Geely (+39.1%) also posts market-beating gains in the remainder of the Top 10 while BMW/Mini has started sharing brand figures and stands at a strong 7th place. Tesla (-12.9%) struggles at #14, whereas GMC (+37.2%) and Isuzu (+71.9%) shine.
Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (+50.3%) shoots up to the pole position with 5.8% share, toppling the Nissan Patrol (+25.4%) which is still outpacing the market. Leader a year ago over H1 2024, the Nissan Sunny (-53.8%) completely implodes and falls to #6. The Toyota Land Cruiser SW (+20.9%) is up one spot to #3 while the Jetour T2 (+212.2%) makes its way to an outstanding 4th place. The Nissan X-Trail (+29.4%) brilliantly rounds out the Top 5. The Ford Territory (+25.1%) impresses at #7 just as the Land Rover Defender (-5.3%) confirms it is a Top 10 seller in the country despite a weak YoY performance.
