It’s another very satisfying month for new car sales in Portugal, up 20.6% year-on-year in July to 17,549. This way, the year-to-date volume is up 8.1% to 141,575. Peugeot (+1.2%) and Mercedes (+3.4%) remain the two best-selling brands in the market but post only muted gains. Dacia (+33.1%) on the other hand is very dynamic but stays at #3. BMW (+14.6%) and Renault (+13.2%) close out the Top 5 ahead of a surging Volkswagen (+74%). Over in the models charts, the Peugeot 2008 (-20%) stays on top despite a drastic year-on-year fall. It is followed this month by the Dacia Duster (+124.5%) up two spots on June to #2.
