Lebanon H1 2025: Market off -29.7%
The Mitsubishi L200 is up to third place in Lebanon.
It’s another very weak score for the Lebanese new car market with sales freefalling -29.7% year-on-year halfway through 2025 at just 8,676 units. Market leader Toyota (-40.9%) falls even faster than the market to a still ultra dominant 33.4% share. Both Mitsubishi (+13.1%) and Kia (+15.3%) defy the negative market to round out the podium. It’s a year to forget for Nissan (-78.8%) with a mediocre 8% share vs. 26.5% a year ago. In contrast Suzuki (+118.7%), Land Rover (+84.4%), Renault (+37%) and most of all Jetour (+240.4%) stand out, with the latter up to #8 overall.
Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (-4.7%) snaps the top spot with 11.2% share whereas it ranked #4 a year ago. Leader last year and over Q1, the Toyota Land Cruiser SW (-74.8%) completely implodes but still manages a 2nd place. The Mitsubishi L200 (+594.3%), Toyota Raize (+193.9%) and Kia Picanto (+75%) go completely against the grain with fantastic upticks. The Nissan Sunny (-84.1%) and Patrol (-86%) fall to #7 and #8 respectively vs. #2 and #3 a year ago over Q1 2024.
