Germany private sales July 2025: VW T-Roc #1, Dacia Bigster up to #4

German private buyers bough 91,357 new cars in July, a 34.5% private sales ratio (PSR) and a splendid 12.1% year-on-year loft. The July 2024 PSR was 34.2%. Year-to-date, total private sales add up to 561,978, a 33.7% PSR and 2.1% year-on-year improvement. Also #1 in the general market, the VW T-Roc is the favourite of private buyers with a 46.7% PSR. It is followed like last month by the Fiat Ducato (80.6% PSR) and the BMW X1 (44.8% PSR). The event of the month is the 4th place of the Dacia Bigster with a 86.2% PSR, as the brand is traditionally strong on private sales like in the rest of Europe. The Mini lineup is up four spots on last month to #4 with a 48% PSR, while the Dacia Sandero is down two to #6 and 84.5% PSR. The Skoda Kamiq at #7 (vs. #26 in the general market), Karoq (#8 vs. #18), Elroq (#10 vs. #31) and VW ID.3 (#9 vs. #22) are all strong. Notice also the VW Golf down to #15 with a mediocre 16.1% PSR.
